An Open Letter To Bill O’Reilly

As a regular watcher of the factor I must comment on something.

Your coverage of the Primaries, election and post election has been as Fox says; fair and balanced.

Yet it would seem that you have missed an opportunity to educate/re-educate the misguided with a very simple lesson from history that you yourself reminded us of in your Legends and Lies: The Patriots series. The electoral College was incorporated into the Constitution to work exactly as it has in this election cycle; To stop States with large populations from overwhelming the voice of smaller states.

That point needs to be hammered home.

Without California and New York, Trump would have won the popular vote, as well as the Electoral College. Hillary lost because our Founders had the foresight to put in a system that balanced the scales so that the needs and wants of ALL of Americans were heard, not just an extreme agenda pushed by a misinformed populace in large voting block states.

It also needs to be noted that virtually ALL of the home bases for mainstream media are headquarter in one of those two states.

Please take the time to re-educate us Bill!

The USS The Deplorables

It may be tongue in cheek and I would prefer it to be simply the USS Deplorable but I am all for this petition!

Pass it along:

Let’s really pass this along to all our friends! (and rub it in the Dumbocrats face’s.)

What Happened to the Youth of America?

From the perspective of a Senior Citizen I look around and all I can ask myself is WTF!?

What happened to the world I knew, the humanity of the people I grew up with, the motivation of those around me?

This author seems to have an inkling; me….I’m one step away from declaring open season on a WHOLE shit pile of “people”.

Received from an Oregon Resident

While I was getting a coffee, I overheard 7 young people (22-26 years old, 5 males, 2 female) who have been protesting in downtown Portland the last two nights.

I told them I was doing research and asked nicely if they would answer some questions.  They were cool with it, so I sat down and went for it.

Ø  Three voted.  Of the four who didn’t, none was registered to vote.

Ø  None of them researched independently either candidate.

Ø  All were for Hillary but preferred Bernie.

 Ø  Why the Democratic Candidate?

·       “More things are taken care of.”

·       “Time to have a woman President.”

·       “Democrats aren’t sexist or racist.”

Ø  Six of them live at home.

Ø  All are under their parents insurance.

 Ø  Two have “real” jobs.

Ø  Three aren’t working, nor are they trying hard to find a job either.

Ø All  Parents pay for everything in their life or subsidize it.

Ø  Six get money from mom or dad every month.

Ø  Two have been on unemployment for 6+ months.

Ø  One is at Portland State U, doesn’t work, and parents pay for everything.

Ø  All 7 said Trump is a racist/sexist.  I asked to cite proof … “That tape, man!”

Ø  When I asked, as a man myself, “Have you ever said anything like that when you’ve been hanging out with your buddies?   All five males said  “Yes.”

Ø  Would you say it if you knew you were on tape?  All five answered  “No.”

Ø  What’s the difference?  I asked.  “You’ve all said bad stuff like that.  Does that mean you hate women and are a sexual predator?”  Nothing.  No answer.

Ø  None could tell me how our government works … they didn’t know how laws are passed, how the House of Representatives or the Senate work.

Ø  None could explain how a bill is passed.

Ø  Only one could tell me the difference between legal and illegal immigration. One of them said, “Legal immigration is when you immigrate legally.”  Seriously.

Ø  None could explain the purpose of the Electoral College or how it works.

In 10 minutes they felt they had explained everything.  Nice kids … but so ignorant.   I know some awesome, phenomenal young adults; but I’m afraid the majority are like these seven.  Too many participation trophies, too much coddling by parents and teachers.

In 1944 18 year-olds stormed the beach at Normandy into almost certain death. In 2016 18-year-olds feel unsafe because words hurt their feelings.

This country is in deep shit!

Disconnected Democrats

The election is over, most of the Trump supporters have come down off of their “high” from winning an unwinnable election…….and the Dumbocrats still don’t get it.

http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2016/11/14/bernie-sanders-humiliated-democrats-cant-talk-to-white-working-class-voters.html

While I, and virtually everyone I talk to at WORK is very happy that Hillary did not win the Presidency, there is more if a feeling of relief than of euphoria. We feel that for at least the next 4 years we, the WORKIng class, have at least a chance to regain more than the toe hold we had on the beach of this great country.

What Bernie Sanders and the Democratic Party fail to grasp, is that their “powerbase” is no longer the working man. It is now the non working man. Or woman, transsexual, non gender specific, illegal immigrant, welfare whores, and the disenfranchised dregs of society, that do nothing to contribute to the growth or stability of this country. People such as college professors, Hollywood actors, and the odd category of people such as the Kardashians, Rich Housewives of Beverly Hills etal, who live in fantasy or artificial worlds so  disconnected from the reality of the every day man that they cannot conceive that it takes WORK to build and maintain a country at a level that truly does benefit all.

Which, in the case of the last election is a good thing, since they were so busy protesting this or that injustice to society, or were simply to lazy to get off their couch and vote, that we, the “working class”, now have a chance to enact new legislation, judicial, and social reforms, as well as enforce the existing laws of the land to fight our way back up the beach head of the bottomless ocean into which we had been backed.
