I Shudder!

This was sent to me in an email, thanks to the original author.

Columnist Andrew McCarthy gives us what probably is the most important question regarding the upcoming presidential election …
If Mitt wins the nomination, as seems very likely, I will enthusiastically support his candidacy.  For my friends, who have hesitation on that score, I’d just ask you to keep four things in mind:

1.. Justice Scalia just turned 78
2.. Justice Kennedy will turn 78 later this year
3.. Justice Breyer will be 76 in August
4.. Justice Ginsburg turned 81 about a week ago.

We wish them all well, of course, but the brute fact is that whoever we elect as president in November is almost certainly going to choose at least one and maybe more new members of the Supreme Court — in addition to hundreds of other life-tenured federal judges, all of whom will be making momentous decisions about our lives for decades to come.
If you don’t think it matters whether the guy making those calls is Mitt Romney or Barack Obama, I think you need to think again…
So for anybody who is thinking of not voting because your favorite didn’t get nominated, or writing in a candidate who can’t win … Imagine this:

Open Season on Democrats?

After looking at this story I am beginning to wonder whether or not it is time to declare that Democrats, like the feral hogs in Texas, Georgia etc should be declared a health hazard and a bounty placed on their heads.

However, unlike the feral hogs that have no value alive and a food value when harvested,  Democrats seemingly cost money when they are alive, cost money to eradicate and have no value after they die. I suppose you could use them for coyote bait but there aren’t THAT many coyotes around.

Eric Holder In Contempt of Congress

I don’t expect the headline will actually appear, Obummer will chicken out and  have Holder cough up the documents, then throw him under the bus.

I was watching the news the other night after the Committee announced they had scheduled the Contempt vote for this coming week and the newscaster said something to the effect “well it’s not like they are going to throw him in jail”

Which got me to thinking, what is the penalty for  being found in contempt of Congress?

Seems like throwing him in jail is exactly what they would do! Yea! Go Eric! Exhibit some more of that arrogance you do so well. I might go to Washington just to sign the visitor log and laugh at him. I do think the monetary penalties need to be made a little more reasonable, like 10x.
